SKILLS SESSIONS SCHEDULED

We have scheduled are next FNSW skills sessions, which will commence Saturday 29th March at 3pm through to 4.30pm from Budgewoi FC grounds. Registration is essential in order for us to ensure we have adequate number of FNSW qualified coaches ready to work with you. We will be focusing on the below:

Ball Mastery

Gross Motor activities

Passing, receiving, controlling, Shooting, Heading

Individual skills such as body positioning & Shape, Scanning etc

Attacking and Defensive skills

Talent Search School Holiday Camp (7-10 years) A FNSW Development camp runs for 12 hours (4 sessions x 3 hours) which may be held during school holidays. JAMES HOLLAND VISITS BUDGEWOI FC

Our players were treated to a very special visit from one of Australia's up and rising star. The James Holland Story (18 years old):
-
Played at Budgewoi from U/6 to U/10's
-
Joined Central Coast Coasties (now Lightning) U/11 to U/14
-
Was selected in several state teams and traveled from young ages to professional Career to Parklea to attend FNSW academies.
-
Selected into NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS)
-
Selected into Australian Institute of Sport (AIS)
-
Trained with Central Coast Mariners during pre season 2006/07 - was offered a contract but declined due to wanting to finish his HSC at the AIS.
-
During his stay at Canberra, the AIS team competed in the Victorian State League
-
Released from AIS to play on a weekly Basis for Newcastle jets for 2 weeks only
-
Scored for the Jets on debut
-
Went to Vietnam with the Australia U/20's where he captained Australian in their last game and is regarded as a future Soccerroo
- Our players asked James various questions and it is clear that James is a young man with a long term dream and great work ethics that we have no doubt, he will achieve them. Well done James and on behalf of all our Players, thank you for taking the time and good luck!

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY The aim of the Junior Development Academy Program is to develop the best 18 player's selected in each age group in an intensive style of coaching. Football NSW have some of the best development coaches who specialise in extending each player in each session using our FNSW method of coaching

Trials and Venues: U/7&U/8 September 8, 9am-Noon U/9&U/10 September 8, 1-3pm Budgewoi FC
What the players receive: · 46 training Sessions per year (3 nights post season) · Periodised Annual Training Program · 2 x testing days · CPTP (FNSW Personal Training Program) · Theory lectures · Parent Workshops and Information sessions · Adidas Sloppy Joe · 2 x Playing strip · Adidas Bag · Adidas Ball · Report
· Oceania Selection Camp. A Four-day non live-in camp in April 2008. Players are identified at this camp for selection into the Elite Oceania Squad - Not included in program but available (extra costs)
Cost for the Program & Payments Plans: $1400 per year (incl. GST) - Payment Plans will be made available. Cost structure is $20xSessions plus gear and admin costs.

The Junior Development Program (JDP) is the second step in the Football NSW Players Pathway. The program is the underpinning academy to the Johnny Warren Football Foundation. The JDP is aimed at developing the full range of technical skills and an understanding of tactical awareness through small sided games. This program is designed for players to continue to play with their chosen club team as well as train intensively with Football NSW during the off-season with three (3) sessions per week. Training during the in-season is limited to two (2) sessions per week. The program includes 50 x (90min) practical sessions.
What the players receive
- 50 sessions with qualified Football NSW instructors - Football NSW playing strip, training shirt, jacket, ball and bag - Periodised training program - 2 profiling days - Report

The Johnny Warren Football Foundation (JWF) is the official FNSW development program aimed at both boys and girls to represent NSW. The Johnny Warren Football Foundation honours Socceroo and Australian legend Johnny Warren and his vision to provide quality coaching to the best of the best. The program will provide intensive coaching by experience and highly qualified FNSW instructors focusing on developing technical mastery of the ball with tactical understanding and positional awareness. This scholarship program is conducted in partnership between FNSW and the Johnny Warren Foundation and is the underpinning development program for the U13 boy's state team and the U15 and U17 girls' state team. The program is designed for players to continue to play with their chosen club team as well as train intensely with JWF during the off-season. Training during the in-season is limited to two (2) session pre week for Under 13 (1995 born) Boys and Under 15 (1993 born) and Under 17 (1991) Girls.
Note: U/13 (born 1995) will be housed at Budgewoi FC, for all other ages groups please contact high performance unit FNSW

- 40 sessions with qualified Football NSW instructors - FNSW / JWFF playing strip and ball - Periodised training program - Home training program - 2 camps - Report

Selections for the Johnny Warren Program U/13 will be from;
- FNSW scouts at Under 12 Metro League matches during the 2007 season. - FNSW coaches attending State Titles in October
Letters will be sent to all nominated players by 18 October 2007. All nominated players will attend training for the first week before FNSW instructors finalise the squads.

SHADOW SQUADS Shadow Squads aims are to provide expertise coaching to those players who missed out due to many factors which are sometimes attributed to many factors, such as illness, growth patterns or purely we were not at our best on the day. We feel that every player deserves the right to be coached by every experience and well regarded youth development officers. Therefore we cater for such need.
